In this section we will talk about kernel modes. Kernels are very important part of the Octane Render, so we'll keep our explanations a bit long. The kernel is what determines the rendering style of Octane. There are 4 different kernel modes: Directligting, Pathtracing, PMC and Infochannels. You can choose one of these kernel modes depending on your purpose. Each kernel mode has advantages and disadvantages. A kernel is not the same as other kernel, even if it shares some options. Each of them varies according to the structure of your scene, lighting, material and many other factors. The best way to understand this part is to read and practice.
